stahn's kind of hungry. they've been walking and arguing for a bit, and a couple of pizza bagel samples aren't really enough to satisfy him. so before they actually round the corner—]

Leon, wait! [don't go on ahead without him! because he's trotting over to that food cart they passed earlier with the roasted sweet potatoes, because they look and smell so good. one for himself, naturally... and one for leon.]

[which is all probably a moot point considering the fact that leon is obviously going to eat it. he follows suit too, blowing on the potato a bit and watching the steam come from it as they start to walk again.

[it can't be helped, he just can't see feeding any hungry mouth as a waste of his money. he's too generous for that. he may be selfish about some things, but helping someone in need is definitely not one of them.

The weather seems rather regulated. That is unsurprising, for a city surrounded by walls.

[leon always seems unimpressed. it's just a day ending in y. but still, what he says does raise a good point. stahn looks up at the sky (probably not the best thing to do while walking and eating, but whatever), taking note of the weather.]

Yeah... you're right. The weather really hasn't changed at all since we got here, has it? [and it's not like it's just the climate, either. it's just about everything. it's the same pretty much every day without exception, and that's weird—even for their world, that has pretty strict regional climates, the there were still variations on a day to day basis.]

[It's unnerving for Leon too. For example... no rain. Even though he doesn't enjoy rain, he doesn't understand how it can never rain here.]

The weather must be controlled. For how long we've been here, it would be unheard of for there to be no precipitation whatsoever.

[not that stahn has the best understanding of calvalese's climate, but for the amount of time they've been there, it probably would have rained at least for a few minutes.

Considering the technology we have seen here, it does not seem entirely out of the question. I suppose it is comfortable enough, but I can't say I like it.
