But when he gets to the designated meeting place at the designated time, he'll...have a couple of plates of things that he decided to make. It took some research, but he thinks he made some decent picnic-y foods. Maybe. He's never been on a picnic before but he's trying.

And he'll look all uncertain but he wants to impress mom so...!!]

[ He doesn't have to impress her!! Otome is already there, at least, holding a thermos in one hand and a red-and-white parfait in the other. There's a blanket beneath her feet already (and of course her shoes are neatly laid off to the side). ]

The tea should still be plenty warm!

[Leon nods at that, taking his place delicately on the blanket, though he doesn't remove his shoes--he just keeps his feet and thus his shoes off of the blanket.

And then he places the plates with the dishes he made on the blanket carefully.]

[A beat, as he takes off the wrap covering the food.]

... I am not particularly familiar with foods eaten at a picnic, but perhaps this will do, if nothing else.

But he'll take the cup of tea, sipping it contentedly. This is good.... mom brought the right kind of tea, and he seems satisfied with that. He'll get to eating too in a moment, but he wants to make sure she enjoys it first.]

[Aaaah... every time his cooking is praised by Otome, he has to fight the urge to preen. This time, his lips do quirk into the vaguest of smiles before he catches himself, coughing and looking away.

I haven't, no... I got a call before I had breakfast, and then by the time I'd finished with that, it was already well past the time for that.
