[ the beginning a beautiful friendship right here. Sadly, Kurisu has the athletic prowess of a pet turtle, so he's probably going to be doing a fair bit of dragging while she stumbles along behind him as best as she can. ]
That's not what I meant! [ good lord, this guy is absolutely insufferable and she's only known him for five minutes. Her voice bounces as she breathes roughly from the exertion; she's glancing over her shoulder, too. Predictably, the robots haven't let up on their attack. ]
-- Dr. Pepper! [ she shouts as a can shoots towards them, ducking her head. watch out leon. ]
[ to be fair, that probably wasn't the best way to say "there's a carbonated beverage coming straight for your skull." But it's what ended up coming out of her mouth. Not enough to stop Leon from getting creamed. And while it is rather satisfying to see, it's less satisfying when he's currently holding onto her. Kurisu almost gets dragged down with him, very nearly tripping right on top of him - but, by some small miracle, she manages to keep her balance, using her momentum to try and tug him back up to his feet instead. ]
[Thankfully for the both of them, Leon's pretty small (despite how he'd like to believe otherwise); her attempts to yank him back up are successful, even if he's still completely dizzy from being brained in the side of the face with a soda can shot at high velocity.
He staggers along with her momentum, eyes narrowed as he tries to regain a) vision and b) his balance.
Today is a Very Bad Day.]
Get-- to cover. A building, or an alley. [It's just muttered under his breath though, because he almost feels sick. Give him a moment.]
[ it sounds like he's telling her to run off and leave him there. But, firstly, there's no way he'd do something that honorable, and secondly, even if she'd really like to ditch his rude self right here, she'd feel way too guilty about it later. ]
Stop being dramatic!
[ tugging him along by the sleeve roughly as she scans the area for some place they might be able to hide. An alleyway isn't a bad idea, but it doesn't seem like enough. Fortunately, there's something in the alleyway that might be. That something being a dumpster. She wrinkles her nose. Awful. Just terrible. But she'd rather be sandwiched between garbage and a foul-tempered stranger than get killed by rogue robots.
Immediately, she drags him over to the dumpster, throwing the lid up as quickly as she can with her meager scientist arms. ]
[She is giving him way too much credit, he was definitely expecting her to drag him along. He's not one of those self-sacrificing hero sorts. Mostly.
Either way, he's not really in any condition to argue that, nor to argue Kurisu shoving him towards a dumpster, WHAT.
THAT'S DISGUSTING.
He wrinkles his nose, perfectly ready to pitch a fit, but there's the clanking of the robots coming closer and Leon knows he's still not ready to fight them all, so with a wordless noise of disgust, he'll go along with her shoving and urging and...get into the dumpster......
This is the most humiliating moment of his life.
And he'll drag her in too, because now that he's in here, they are not getting caught and making this all a waste. No way, no how.]
[ listen, princess. Sometimes, you go out for a walk in the city and it's a nice day and you get a cold soda and some good exercise. Other times, you get chased by possessed vending machines until you're forced to hide in day-old garbage with a stranger. That's life. That's life.
Kurisu is not happy about this, either, especially when he starts dragging her down with im - like she can't climb into the trash on her own, thanks - but she does it, because it's what must be done. She'd rather not die via freak robot accident. So after shoving him away a bit with a hissed "stop it," she settles there into the trash bags, peering through the tiny slit beneath the lid while trying not to gag too hard. ]
But at least they can just sit there grumpily. Leon at least has the time now to try to get his head back on straight, after everything; he blinks away the lingering blackness in his vision, shaking his head once or twice. Nope. This is fine. He's fine.
But she's got the slit to peer through and he can't see too without getting too close to her so instead he's sulking in the dark in a trash can.
[ She'd move over for him if he asked. Nicely. But he doesn't, and thus, he's going to have to be happy with his stinky dark corner. Her lips are pressed into a thin line, though her expression isn't terribly visible in the shadows of the garbage.
Fortunately for them, it seems the robots aren't equipped with heat sensors - either that, or they didn't even consider these two prissy people would jump into a dumpster. Kurisu watches them rush by the alleyway. ]
They passed us by, [ she hisses in an undertone. ] But we should probably wait a little, just to be safe.
[Leon can't ask for anything nicely so alas, he will have to deal with his smelly corner.
There are a lot of things Leon doesn't want to do, of course, and at the top of the list is "listen to this girl order him around" and "remain in this dumpster for any longer", but alas, he can't argue with the sense in staying in there for a short period longer to make sure that they're safe.
His head feels less like it's going to fall off, at least, even if he still has a throbbing headache (and he'll probably have a spectacular bruise, because he's delicate and bruises easily), so he thinks he'll be able to at least handle any other robots that come their way when they get out of this horrible situation.
In response, though, he'll just offer up a quiet:]
she's thankful that he's at least not fighting her on this one. Fighting the temptation to punch him in the face would just be one more annoying thing to deal with right now. With a quick glance to the side in confirmation - not that she can really see him - she returns her focus to the outside, listening closely to the sound of the robots getting farther away.
It takes a minute or so, and, honestly, Kurisu can't even say for sure that they're totally gone (this isn't as easy as it looks in the movies), but it sounds like they are, and she'd fairly fed up with crouching in the trash. ]
... Okay. I think it's clear. [ she states evenly. the haste with which she stands and opens the lid of the dumpster belies how she's really feeling, though... ]
But hey, at least it's a good attempt--he'll take it. As soon as she says it's clear, he's following suit, pulling himself out of that dumpster as quickly as possible. Ugh.]
Disgusting...
[But at least it's a mutter that's not directed towards Kurisu this time. Instead, he glances down the alley, before he has to begrudgingly admit:]

Doctor--
[What doctor??? Is there a doctor somewhere--
Okay no, just a can of soda, which is going to nail him in the side of the head as he turns to try to see what she was seeing. GUH.
He staggers, and then he's falling, timberrrrrr.]

Ugh...! Get up! They're coming!
