[leon is me talking about certain other mothership tales games, probably.]
But can't there be something later that explains it? It doesn't seem like it's that bad! [it's only when you get to the end of the movie and you realize that they dropped the plotline that explains the twist that it becomes bad writing. obviously!!
(or stahn just doesn't know any better, because the flashy action sequences distract him from the bad writing..)]
But Leon just arches an eyebrow at that, before shaking his head in exasperation and turning his attention back to the food.]
The situation has been poorly explained from the beginning. For what purpose are they fighting over these things? Why was she in this situation to begin with, and how did she get from the previous scene to here? There was no indication that she should have been able to travel that far to begin with.
As for the protagonist, his story is entirely full of holes.
[yeah, stahn's definitely scrunching his nose a bit at that response. of course leon would pick apart every little thing. most of it are things stahn honestly didn't think about.
but still, isn't it a little nit-picky?]
Shouldn't we at least see the end first? There's still time for them to explain some of those things! [maybe not all of them, but like. seriously, leon. it's an action-mystery movie, not fine art.]
[how does one become a movie elitist without ever watching movies? leon, please...]
I'm sure it'll be fine! [though even if it's not, at least leon is sticking around ti watch the movie. he may not love arguing about it, but it beats being alone.]
and like any typical movie of its genre, not very much backstory is resolved, the guy gets the girl and his memories back and the big bad is dead by way of COOL EXPLOSIONS and stuff.
...which impresses stahn, even if the story was honestly... not that good. even he can admit that the book he's reading is better than that, but he still looks pretty happy with the end result.]
[he says as he stretches his arms out over his head, shifting position on the couch slightly. leon can roll his eyes until they fall out of his head, but stahn's still happy about the movie.
and...] Thanks for sticking around, even if it's just because you were eating. It was a lot better than watching it alone!

I didn't see it coming at all! I didn't think it would be like that...
[it was cool. don't make fun of him!]

Hmph. We shall see if they explain any single aspect of what I've brought up by the end.
[It appears he is now watching this movie, if only to prove that it's shit.]

Either way, Leon just scoffs in response to that and moves to eat his meal instead.
Whatever!!! They'll see, since the end will surely come soon enough.]

It was simply too much trouble to leave when it wasn't necessary.
