[Smooth catch, you smooth criminal. It takes a lot of work to suppress the grin that's pretty much just begging to follow.]
You get better deals if there are two people, y'know! And almost everyone I know is busy when these things open. [Just going to CUT OFF THAT ARGUMENT BEFORE IT BEGINS--]
ANYWAY, WHY... Not that Kashuu would find anything wrong with this since it's a nice color and capes are something that just keep coming back into fashion, but why.]
Pudding, huh? [Stahn mentioned that... He picks up a fork and takes a small piece of his own cinnamon roll while he considers this - (and that's the only downside to his plan, really... He doesn't actually like sweets that much?! HE'S MOVING THROUGH HIS SO SLOWLY.)]
I never really got the appeal. It's a really weird texture, isn't it?
[The truest way to delve beneath the tsun clearly is to just engage him in proper conversation about it.]
Properly made pudding does not have to have an odd texture. Rather, pudding parfaits, when served chilled and with reasonable toppings, can be a lot like eating creamy foods.
[CUTE... Kashuu is good at carrying on conversations even when the other participant isn't super-engaged, so NEEDLESS TO SAY this is like giving him an entire room of straw to work with.]
I've never heard of that before - pudding parfaits, I mean. Actually, I don't think I've ever had a pudding that hasn't just come from one of those cups that you shake 'em out of. Y'know what I'm talking about? They come in cute shapes, though!
[That's not a tsunism. Leon's legitimately avoided going looking. It's... because that was a thing Marian made him, and a thing that he associates with her. After everything that he put her through and everything she suffered because of him, it's hard for him to look for things that remind him of her.
[Yeah, it's probably safest to breeze right on past and move on. And he can't help the way that he's...curious, even if he doesn't want to be. But he is.
Life is hard when you're a wild tsun.]
... You have hardly even touched what you have.
[Don't think he hasn't noticed.]
Are you truly that interested in having more sweets?
[FOOLISH LEON, maybe with something like "what the heck you're a sword how could you get fat", at which point Kashuu would have to make up even more bullshit...
But apparently he's getting out of this one easy today, and he just looks satisfied, bouncing in his seat for a second before pushing his bag over.]
I just wanted to try most of these, anyway. I'll probably just give the rest away to my comrades if I take 'em home, but since you're here, do you want any? I don't wanna carry this bag aaall the way back. [A DRAMATIC SIGH.]
[You're the worst, Kashuu... except also the best, because Leon is so happy with all of these sweets he gets to eat now. Even if he's going to be quietly pleased...........]
Very well then. If you insist on it, I suppose I will take it.
[He supposes.
But now out of politeness more than anything he reaches for his tea again.
But when he sips it, it still gets his baby reaction of scrunching his nose.]
[Truly, Leon's taking a burden off of his hands... And Kashuu gets to witness the tsuntsun in action, so it's clearly a win-win!!
Why is he such a lattle babby, though.]
You don't have to keep drinking that if you don't want to, you know. It's not like it'll go to waste! I can take it back with me and give it to someone else, or you can take it with you. ["And fill it to the brim with cream and sugar, presumably".]

[...........WAIT]
There is not going to be a next time.

It's fine as long as I remember the sugar, right?
no subject
T-that is...
[... hard to argue, somehow.
Uh.]
... Fine, if you must. And if I am not busy. There is no guarantee. [Hmph!!!]
no subject
O-kay! No problem, no problem. I'll just text a little in advance next time something like this happens so you can check your schedule.
[He's just already counting this a preemptive victory...]
—Which one d'you like best so far, anyway?
no subject
And he's been steadily working his way through the sweets (where does he put them all when he's so small, nobody knows), and he.
Pauses.
Ah. Um.]
... It isn't as though I like things like this. [oh shut up Leon.] But I suppose... if I had to choose the most tolerable, it would be the cake.
[It's good.]
no subject
He seems satisfied by that answer, either way. He'll remember that...]
Good texture? Good flavor? Hey— what is your favorite flavor, anyway? You look like a strawberry kinda guy.
[It might just be his pink cape (or the spirit of his pink cape which will live with him forever even if he decides to modernize his wardrobe).]
no subject
And don't worry, he's still wearing the frilly pink cape.... for some reason.]
Strawberry is...fine.
[Honestly, he likes everything, but--]
Pudding... is also acceptable, I suppose. [no, he really likes that... he likes everything though.]
no subject

[Marian makes good flan pudding.]

[Leon has Opinions on this, okay.]
If you want to properly taste pudding, you should have homemade flan pudding.
[it's... his favorite....]
no subject
Do they sell that at any of the shops here? I haven't really been looking for it, so I don't remember seeing any...
[But if Leon thinks it's Proper Pudding™, surely he's gone looking...!]
no subject
[That's not a tsunism. Leon's legitimately avoided going looking. It's... because that was a thing Marian made him, and a thing that he associates with her. After everything that he put her through and everything she suffered because of him, it's hard for him to look for things that remind him of her.
... He clears his throat.]
Why would I go looking for something like that?
no subject
Mmm... I dunno, it sounds like you thought that type was tastier than the store kind. I figured you'd probably go find some.
[But he breezes on easily, since he has a feeling a "no, I wouldn't" here would be genuine.]
That's fine, that's fine! There are still a ton of other desserts to try. At the teahouses, they sell a lot of the ones I remember from home, even!
no subject

... You have hardly even touched what you have.
[Don't think he hasn't noticed.]
Are you truly that interested in having more sweets?
no subject
But ah, Leon's actually paying closer attention than he thought?! INCREDIBLE.]
I can't eat too much in one go! What if I get fat, huh?
no subject
Ah... I suppose.
[???
He's so puzzled.]
no subject
But apparently he's getting out of this one easy today, and he just looks satisfied, bouncing in his seat for a second before pushing his bag over.]

no subject
So you are foisting it off on me? Honestly, you are far too much trouble.
[He's totally going to take it home and eat it all, thank you, Kashuu.]
no subject
[He says, not sounding or looking sorry at all... YOU'RE WELCOME, LEON.]
I don't like carrying extra stuff. Besides, I wanna go shopping before I stop off at home! I'll need to have my hands free so I can carry all my bags.
[That part isn't a white lie like nearly everything else, at least...]
no subject
Very well then. If you insist on it, I suppose I will take it.
[He supposes.
But now out of politeness more than anything he reaches for his tea again.

Do with it what you want. I didn't ask for it in the first place regardless, so.
[...so he doesn't have to feel guilty about not liking it!! Clearly!!! Even though he does a little bit.]
no subject
I'll do better research next time!
[...In Western foods since Leon's place of origin seems to mirror the west that he knows, but he doesn't clarify what he means at all?!]
no subject
What are you talking about?
[WAIT NO.]
I've already told you! There will be no next time!
