[If there's another thing food is good at besides being delicious, it helps Ai through conversations that she normally wouldn't be able to handle. Like this one. So instead of being really put off by Leon like she expected she would be after their last less than desirable meeting, the ice cream shop seemed to have leveled out some ground between them. Maybe.
It's just ice cream after all. She waits patiently for her last two scoops (that's all, she promises herself).]
[Things are at least a bit calmer, that's better than it could be--
So he'll return a few moments later with her scoops of ice cream, setting the cup onto the counter for her simply--but at least softer than he set it there before.
[It doesn't go unnoticed and Ai simply takes the ice cream with a small nod of thanks. Before she goes to work on her second helping however, she speaks up softly.]

Thai tea ice cream. It's also very good.
[A beat.]
I think it's a flavor worth trying! If you've never had it before I mean.
[There's a pause as he blinks at her hesitantly (she has no reason to try to share something like that with him, but he supposes pointing that out would only start a fight again), and so instead he just... commits it to memory.
Thai ice cream. He's never heard of it, but he supposes it couldn't hurt to give it a try when he enjoys ice cream as much as he does.
