[Only the truly bizarre prefer the sweet embrace of death over the weirdness of Cerealia... So Leon's right at home exactly in the category he belongs in, at least.]
Some of 'em might not be able to. [THE DEAD ONES, MOSTLY.] But I mean, outside of those kinda situations, I think you've got the right idea. It's important to protect things you love and fix things that need to be fixed.
[Which is a simple deduction from a simple sword, but he does believe in it wholeheartedly.]
[They need to both sit down for like 10 minutes and TAKE A NICE LONG BREATHER, FAR AWAY FROM DEATH.]
Well... It's not bad when things are running smoothly, right? I mean, I wouldn't stay here even if I could, but being able to meet people like you and having time to do stuff that isn't just fighting has been nice. Enjoying it is a pretty good way of not going totally nuts when you run into so many dead ends trying to get back home.
[In the opinion of one of the people that could probably be put into the "stupid" category BUT HE SURE TRIES.]
Honestly, you are far too optimistic and carefree. You are just like Stahn.
[But... it's a good thing?? Probably. It's a very Leon thing in that his words sound really insulting but the meaning is actually kind of a compliment.]
[Kashuu has earned his place in the Stupids Squad.
That said, he can actually tell it's complimentary to a degree since he knows the tsunspeak and any comparison to Stahn coming from Leon is (probably) good (mostly).]
Eh, that's not really optimistic, is it? If you enjoy something, you enjoy it.
[Like the company of angry short punks for reasons not even he knows!]
kashuu.
Leon quirks an eyebrow at that, though he doesn't argue it.
Not exactly, anyway.]
I fail to see why people would live here by choice, truly.

It might be better than where they come from, I guess. Kinda sad, though.
[He feels bad for anyone that this statement could actually apply to. RIP those guys... Sometimes literally, probably?!
ANYWAY awful jokes aside, he's beckoning for Leon to follow him! Away, out of the soggy pond of this district!!]

He wonders about that. He's dead, after all, but... he still would rather be dead than be here. Is he really so much in the minority in that?
(Yes, Leon.)]
Hmph. Even so, they should remain where they are from and fix it, if they are so disgusted with the state of things.
[ONWARDS out of the soggy pond.]

Certainly enough. [It's fine, Stahn's going to do that back home so Leon's mostly okay with it.]
I would have expected more people to be aggravated to be stuck here, with that in mind. However, they seem...
[stupid]
